Roadside work is its own thing. A shoulder on I-45 with traffic at seventy is not a driveway, and we treat it differently — for your safety and for our tech's.
Tell us exactly where you are: the freeway, the direction you're heading, and the nearest exit or mile marker.
Safety comes before the tire
If you can move the vehicle to an exit ramp, a frontage road, a gas station or anywhere off the active shoulder, do it — even on a ruined tire, if it's a short distance and the alternative is standing next to moving traffic.
If you can't move, stay belted inside the vehicle with hazards on. Get out only on the side away from traffic. If anything about the situation feels dangerous, call 911 first.

Blowouts and shredded tires
A blowout usually takes more than the tire. We'll look at the wheel, the wheel well liner and anything the tread caught on its way apart, and tell you what we see.
