People bring us tires for a look before a long drive, after hitting something on the freeway, or because a light came on and they don't know what it means. That's exactly the right instinct.
An inspection is a conversation, not a sales pitch. Sometimes the answer is that everything's fine.
What gets checked
Tread depth across the width of each tire, inflation against the vehicle's placard, sidewall condition, visible punctures or embedded objects, prior repairs, dry rot and cracking, valve stems, and the date code — a tire can age out even with tread left on it.
We also look at the wear pattern, because that's the part that tells you whether something other than the tire is causing the problem.

TPMS light on?
A pressure warning can be as simple as a cold morning or as serious as a nail. Bring it in and we'll find out which. We check actual pressure with a gauge rather than trusting the dash.
After a curb, pothole or blowout
Impact damage can hide inside the tire. If you hit something hard and the ride changed, get it looked at — a bulge in the sidewall is a tire on borrowed time.
