Tire Mounting and Balancing in Houston
Mounting is the part most people never see, and it's where a lot of tire problems start. A rushed mount scratches a wheel, pinches a bead or leaves a tire that never seals right.
We take the time to do it properly, on the machine, every time.
The process
Old tire off, wheel cleaned at the bead seat, corrosion knocked down, new tire lubed and mounted, bead seated at proper pressure, wheel spun on the balancer and weighted where it needs it, then torqued to the manufacturer's spec.
If the wheel is bent or cracked, you'll hear about it before we put a new tire on it.

Vibration at highway speed
A shake that shows up around 55 to 70 mph is usually a balance issue, sometimes a bent wheel or a tire with a belt shifting inside. We'll spin the wheels and find out which one it is rather than just adding weight and hoping.
Bring the wheels, leave the car
If you've got tires and wheels off the vehicle already, drop them off. It's the quickest kind of job we do.
